Our Programs

The Lettie G. Howard

The schooner Lettie G. Howard is a Coast Guard-certified Sailing School Vessel and National Historic Landmark owned and operated by the South Street Seaport Museum in New York City. Fully restored and outfitted with modern safety and navigational equipment, Lettie offers sail training and sea education programs for youth and adults.

Sea Scouts

We are proud to support Sea Scouts from Ship 228 who operate the 65’ vessel Sea Dart II, one of the largest Sea Scout vessels on the east coast, along with a fleet of smaller vessels (including sailboats) from their base located in Linden, NJ.

Sea Scouting (Part of the Venturing Program of the BSA) offers young adults the opportunity to travel and learn skills that could be useful in future careers.

The Navesink Maritime Heritage Association

We are proud to continue our support of the Navesink Maritime Heritage Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving knowledge and appreciation of Monmouth County's maritime heritage through programs that teach young people wooden boat building and boat handling skills.

Maritime Industry Museum at Fort Schuyler

This year, the Society of Marine Port Engineers, New York is proud to sponsor the Maritime Industry at Fort Schuyler as she prepares to add several newly acquired models for display. Our donation will be used to restore the model of the Moore McCormack “Brasil”.
